Charles P. Clinton : His journal book, 1802-1806.

C. Clinton's journal records the voyage of the Schooner Betsey under Capt. Williams from the South Seas to New London June-September 1803, a trip from Cape St. Augustine to New London July-September, and E. Clinton's voyage on the ship Vancouver 1804-06. There is a description of the Patagonia coast by Charles and poems and sea-chanties by Charles and Ebenezer, dating from 1803-1806. There are navigation tables, weights and measures, and an account by W. Woodworth on the schooner Betsey in 1802.

Charles P. Clinton was stranded on the coast of Patagonia in the brig Genius of New York, April 17, 1803, and sailed from there May 17 on the Betsey.
